89, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was the beloved wife for 55 years of James A. Silva. Born in Athens, Greece, a daughter of the late Andreas and Eugenia (Vagena) Tsomi, she came to the U.S in 1969.
Katherine was a sample box maker for The Hope-Buffinton Packaging Group in Central Falls for over 50 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church – Church of the Annunciation in Cranston and a member of their choir; a member of Philoptochos; former chairperson for Vasilopita; and a breast cancer survivor.
Besides her beloved husband James, Katherine was the dear sister of Panagiota Curtner of Waco, TX, Phillipos Tsomi of Athens, Greece and the late Stavroula Vagena; and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, Cranston, followed by entombment at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS are Friday, February 14th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
