KATHERINE A. (BORRELLI) MARZILLI

KATHERINE A. ( BORRELLI ) MARZILLI, 91, formerly of Garden City Drive, Cranston, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Bethany Home in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander R. Marzilli.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Vincent and Lucy (Martini) Borrelli, she resided in Cranston since 1955.

Mrs. Marzilli was a clerical worker for Metropolitan Insurance Company for 10 years, before retiring. She was Past President of Metropolitan Insurance Company Retirees Club. She was a volunteer for 22 years with the Cranston Public Schools and was the recipient of The Outstanding Senior Citizen Award in 1998.

She was the devoted mother of Joyce M. Shallcross and her husband David of Cranston, Sandra M. Paquette and her husband Leo of Rumford and the late Kathlene A. Marzilli; loving grandmother of David Shallcross and his wife Jana, Erin Benevides and her husband John and Marisa Monahan and her husband Daniel; loving great-grandmother of Lauren, Gianna, Jack and Sheamus; and dear sister of Antonio Borrelli of Cranston and the late John Borrelli and James Martini.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS FRIDAY MORNING 8-9 a.m.
