KATHERINE (SCHIANO) MARRO

(Schiano) Katherine M. Marro 97, of Rockwood Ave. Cranston passed away Friday February 20, 2009 at the Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Marro. Katherine was born in New York a daughter of the late Francesco and Mary (Raso) Schiano. Mrs. Marro was employed at the former Priscilla Mills in Johnston, and also was a cook at the St. Rocco's School. Katherine was a member of the St. Rocco's Church, Legion of Mary and was also a member of Our Lady of Providence Seminary Alumni Guild. She is survived by her loving children, Rev. Nicholas Marro C.S. of Chicago, Michael F. Marro and his wife Peggy of Chicago, Ann Marie Maiorisi and her husband Richard of Cranston, her siblings Louis and Frank Schiano of FL, George Schiano of NY. She was the cherished grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 6. Katherine was also the sister of the late Vincent, Michael, Domenic, Ortenzio, Alfred and Rita Schiano, Rose and Yolanda Macina, and Enes Longabardi. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Rocco's Church Atwood Ave. Johnston.
