51, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence after a seven year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Rita B. (Bruneau) Dooley of Cranston and the late Edward F. Dooley. Karen was an executive assistant for Delmonico Enterprises, Inc. for ten years and loved her job. Karen was a graduate of Cranston West High School. Almost a permanent fixture at the YMCA, she loved working out and exercising three times a week. She enjoyed yard work and gardening even during chemotherapy and radiation. She was quite a fighter right to the end. Besides her mother she is survived by her loving sister Linda M. O'Connell of Warwick, a niece, Kelley Paradis and her husband Jason of Sharon, MA and two great nieces Annabelle and Madeleine Paradis and a great nephew Nathan Paradis. She also leaves an Aunt Bette Ricci, a cousin Elizabeth Ricci and several other cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be private.
