K. THOMAS D. KRIKORIAN
K. THOMAS D. KRIKORIAN, 89, of Pitman St., North Providence, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Rose D. (Ayrassian) Krikorian.
Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Sarkis and Kohar (Krekorian) Der Krekorian.
Mr. Krikorian was Produce Supervisor for the former Star Market. He was a WW-II U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant in the 4th Marine Division. He served in the Pacific Theatre and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. John's Lodge #1 Providence F. & A.M; a member of the Armenian Masonic Degree Team; and a member of D.A.V. After retiring, he and his wife made 19 trips across the U.S. in their motor home; and also visited Russia and Armenia.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Dr. Robert Krikorian of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas Krikorian of Patton, CA, and Dr. Sharon E. Krikorian and her husband John Debes of Chatham, NY; loving grandfather of David and Ellen Krikorian; and dear brother of Agnes Tengerian of CA, and the late Reupen and Popkin Krekorian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday 4-8 p.m.
Interment with Military Honors will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: D.A.V. 380 Westminster St., Providence, RI 02903.
