JULIE (CIANCI) POLISENA

76, of Pinewood Ave., Johnston, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Polisena, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Adelena (Martino) Cianci. Julie worked for the former Coronet Printing Company for 15 years before retiring. She was a member of the Johnston Democratic Town Committee and a member of Senate 25 Committee. She was the devoted mother of Joseph M. Polisena, Mayor of the Town of Johnston and his wife Lucy and Mark Anthony Polisena of Daytona Beach, FL; loving grandmother of Joseph M. Polisena, Jr.; and dear sister of Yola Brady of Providence and the late Americo, Armando, Pasco, Rudolph, Angelo, Robert, Mario, John and Raymond Cianci. Julie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence, followed by interment at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
