JULIE A. (BRUCKSHAW) KIERNAN

57, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. Julie was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Kiernan, Jr. Born in Providence; she was a daughter of the late William and Frances (Brown) Bruckshaw. She was a manager at the former Howard Johnson's Restaurant in Warwick for eight years. Julie was a long term resident of Roy Carpenter's Beach. She was a state billiard champion, and placed second in a state cribbage tournament. Her passions included nature, flowers and creating her own poetry. Julie enjoyed the beach and surf casting.

Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Alexis A. Kiernan, Meaghan L. Kiernan, and Thomas Kiernan, III, all of Narragansett. Julie was the cherished sister of Janet F. Carroll of Cranston, James A. Bruckshaw of South County and the late Francine C. Henry and William M. Bruckshaw, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Swan Point Cemetery, Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. Kindly omit flowers.
