JULIA J. (MANZI) RUSSO

80 , of Johnston passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011 with her children by her side at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Vito Russo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Angelina (Soprano) Manzi. Julia's greatest joy was being around her family. She enjoyed gardening, dining out and spending the racing season in Saratoga, NY, as well as vacationing in Florida.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Russo, with whom she resided, Charles Russo and his wife Karen, and Robert Russo, Esq. and his wife Isabelle, all of Johnston. Julia also leaves two cherished granddaughters, Taylor and Sophie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother John Manzi and sisters Rose Addessi, Pauline Finocchio, Lucy Marino, Louise Lancellotta, all of Cranston, Mary Santoro of Providence; as well as her sister-in-law Angelina Russo, and brother-in-law Michael Russo. Julia was the sister of the late Joseph, Antonio, Domenic and Emilio Manzi, and dear sister Ann Ross.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted.
