Julia V. (Bianchi) D'Amico 91, formerly of Manton Avenue, Providence died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Albert V. D'Amico. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Sisto and Teresa (Celani) Bianchi. Mrs. D'Amico was a foot press operator for various jewelry companies in the Providence area for thirty years before retiring in 1972. Julia was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her children, Vincent P. D'Amico and his wife Jeannette of Port St. Lucie, FL, Theresa C. Noe and her husband Avery of West Greenwich, Jean A. Sandberg and her husband William of North Providence, Cynthia C. Clegg and her husband Robert of Greenville, Donna J. Lanzi and her husband Alexander of West Warwick, Lorraine J. Barney and her husband David of Johnston. Julia was the grandmother of five and the great-grandmother of five. Mrs. D'Amico was the sister of Vincent S. Bianchi and his wife Floria of Providence, Jean Palumbo of Johnston and the late Valentino, Mario, Sisto "Chet" Bianchi, Connie LaRosa and Anna D'Andrea. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 305 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or Hebert Nursing Home Activities Fund, 180 Log Road, Smithfield, RI 02917.
