98, of Potters Avenue, Warwick passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home. She was the wife of the late John Pesce. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Pietro and Mary (Delfino) Palermo. Josephine was a member of the RI Bridge Association and was one of the top 50 players in the state for over 50 years. She is survived by two sons: J. Robert Pesce of Barrington and George A. Pesce of Warwick, One sister: Dorothea DiPippo of Warwick. Grandmother of John, Peter and Allen Pesce. Great Grandmother of Rachel, John and Cristina. Mother of the late Georgia A. Luft and sister of the late Antonio Palermo, Phyllis Friedman, Peter Palermo, Betty Croce and Evelyn Tarittera. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 64 Brayton Avenue, Providence and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue Cranston on Tuesday 4-8pm. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
