Joseph P. Whyte 82, of Dunedin St., Cranston, passed away Saturday March 15, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Barbara (Ruggiero) Whyte and the late Veronica (Tuffy) Whyte. Born in Jamaica, NY, he was the son of the late Harold P. and Elizabeth (Myette) Whyte. He was a WW-II U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Mr. Whyte was a lifetime member of the Elk's for over 40 years. Mr. Whyte was a distributor for Thomas' English Muffin for 5 years, and also was in sales for Harvest Bread for many years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Joseph P. Whyte Jr., Michael Whyte, Ann Marie O'Mara and Sandra Vallier. He was the grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 5 and brother of the late Harold P. Whyte, Jr. and Nancy Flavin. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann's Church, Cranston St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
