JOSEPH SCITTARELLI

94, of River Ave., Providence, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Giannina (Verrecchia) Scittarelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paolo and Caterina (Coletti) Scittarelli.

Mr. Scittarelli was a master tailor and owner of the former Roseland Tuxedo Co. in downtown Providence for 25 years and later worked at Waldorf Tuxedo Co. before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed sewing, gardening and playing bocce.

He was the devoted and loving father of Denise Giannina Scittarelli of Providence and Linda F. Dolce and her husband Arthur of Warwick; and dear brother of Elvio Scittarelli and Silvia Neri, both of Providence, Giovanna Neri of North Providence, Antonetta Cattani of Cranston and the late Albert Scittarelli.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
