Joseph A. DiPrete, Jr., 78, of Lolly Lane, Cranston passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at R.I. Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty "(Pirraglia) Melucci-DiPrete. A lifelong resident of Cranston he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary ( Pedro ) DiPrete Sr. Mr. DiPrete was a toolmaker and was the founder of Stylecraft, Inc. of Cranston which he operated for more than 40 years, retiring in 2000. He was an army veteran of the Korean War and a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Beside his wife, he is survived by his daughters; Debra DiPrete of Warwick, Ann Marie Mancuso of Warwick and Doreen DeSantis and her husband Frank of Johnston. He was the father of the late Joseph C. and James A. DiPrete. He is the grandfather of Lisa Barone and John Mancuso and also survived by 2 great grandchildren. He is the brother of Grace Gleason of Charlestown and uncle of Kathleen McMahon, William and Glenn Gleason. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt.
