94, of Farrar Street, Cranston passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of the late Jean C. (McDonald) Pantalena. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Carmino and Anna (Cipriano) Pantalena. Mr. Pantalena was a manager at the Job Bank for the Department of Employment and Training for 38 years retiring in 1983. Joseph was a WW-II Army Veteran, a member of the 43rd Infantry Association, Florida and RI Chapters and a member of the Cranston Senior Center. Joseph was the father of Patricia A. Nelson and her husband Bernard of Scituate and the late Angela J. Haygood. Grandfather of Pamela, Stephanie, Stephen, Joseph, Elizabeth and Anna. Great grandfather of 4. Uncle of Ann Devine and her husband Jim of Tiverton. Brother of the late Domenic "Tommy", Albert and Michael Pantalena. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Mark, Garden City Cranston at 10:00am. Burial, with military honors, will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 3-8pm.
