DUE TO THE SNOW STORM PREDICTED FOR MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2009, THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL FOR MR. NOTARIANNI HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 2009 AT 10:00 A.M.
Joseph P. Notarianni 82, of Cucumber Hill Road, Foster, died Thursday, February, 26, 2009 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence. He was the husband of the late Philomena (Mariorenzi) Notarianni. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Giacchio and Bernadette (Equello) Notarianni. Mr. Notarianni was a self employed painter and contractor for twenty-five years. He was also the owner operator of the former Topps TV and Satellite of Foster for eighteen years. Mr. Notarianni was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. He was a Purple Heart recipient. Joseph was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Disabled American War Veterans. He was a member of the Italian American War Veterans, a charter member of the St. Mary's Feast Society. Cranston, Santa Maria diPrata Society, City Hall Athletic Club and the BPOE Elks of Danielson, CT. He was an avid golfer, card player, gardener and wine maker. He is survived by his children, Thomas, Stephen, Joseph and Robert Notarianni, Irma Wilson and Rebecca Balasco. He was the father of the late Donna Roy. Joseph was the grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of six. He was the brother of Frank Notarianni and the late Antonio, Arthur and Albert Notarianni, Angelina DiTroia, Palmi Shelton and Mary Cooper. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on TUESDAY at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 116A Danielson Pike, Foster. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
