Joseph D. Mastrobuono, Jr.

passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 18, 2021 in his home in Cranston, Rhode Island. He follows his beloved, late wife, Elaine C. Mastrobuono to the heavens. May his heavy heart be free once more as he is reunited with his high school sweetheart, an inseparable love of 50 years.  He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Mastrobuono Sr.; his sister, Nancy Mastrobuono; and his best friend, Anthony Moretti. His memory is carried on by his daughter, Lauren (Mastrobuono) Ortgiesen and her husband, Raymond. He also leaves behind his cherished mother, Adeline Mastrobuono; and loved younger brothers, Nicholas and Jeffrey Mastrobuono; as well as his faithful companion, his mini poodle, Buddy.

Joseph graduated from Moses Brown in 1970. Though he had his heart set on graduating from PC, he took up the family furniture business upon his grandfather taking ill. From a young age, he was always willing to do what needed to be done to ensure the wellbeing of his family.  Joseph was an incredible business man, beloved boss, and excellent provider for his family.

Joseph was an accomplished home cook, interior designer, and golfer. He brought home numerous trophies and prizes from the golfing tournaments he participated in. No green did he frequent more often or more lovingly than the Alpine Country Club. Though he was selective about the company he kept, he loved those in his "circle" fiercely.

Relatives and close friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston and will be live streamed through Nardolillo Funeral Home Facebook Page ( http://Facebook.com/nardolillofh ). Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Social Services, 1600 Bay Street, Fall River, MA 02724.
