Joseph J. Lennon 56, of Wayland Avenue, Cranston, died Friday, May 1, 2009 surrounded by his loving family at the home of his sister Katherine in Warwick. Born in Worcester, MA, he was a loving son of the late John J. and Mary T. (McKinnon) Lennon. Mr. Lennon relocated to Rhode Island in the 1950's and was a self employed skilled carpenter for over thirty-five years. He was an avid sports fan and caregiver to both his mother and brother. He is survived by his two sisters Patricia C. Lombardi and her husband Timothy of Cranston, Katherine A. Lennon of Warwick and his brother Thomas Barrett of Worcester, MA. Joseph was the brother of the late John A. Barrett. He was the uncle of Thomas Barrett, Jr. of Waltham, MA, Lisa Girardi, Christine Barrett, both of Worcester, William Barrett of Boston, Melissa Barrett of Worcester, Carl E. Santilli of Warwick, Brent Barrett and Ariana Lombardi both of Cranston and numerous great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Cemetery, Mausoleum Chapel, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester, MA.
