Joseph F. Green 66, of Meshanticut Valley Parkway, Cranston, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Sweeney) Green. Mr. Green was a fire fighter for the Town of Johnston for thirty-three years before retiring in 1992. He was also a fire fighter in North Conway, NH. Mr. Green was a longtime bartender at the former Sonny Russo's Cafe in Cranston. An avid camper, he moved to New Hampshire to pursue his love of the outdoors. Mr. Green was a baggage clerk at Attitash Ski Mountain Resort before retiring back to Rhode Island. He is survived by his companion Mariann Hyde of Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Monday morning 9- 10 a.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
