Joseph A. Flori, Sr.

94, passed peacefully on 2/4/2022 at Hope Hospice in Providence Rhode Island. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Chesira “Jessie” Flori. Brother of the late William Flori Jr. and the late Jeanette Tomasso. Father of Joseph Flori, Jr. (wife Paula) of Exeter, Fred Flori (wife Rebecca) of Scituate, and Christina Rutter (husband Michael) of West Greenwich. Grandchildren Grant and Alyssa Rutter and Rachel and Derek Flori. He also leaves his niece and nephew Denise and Tommy Tomasso. Joe was employed in the food industry all his life and worked for many food brokers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In his retirement he enjoyed working with wood and made boxes, pens and many other items which he would give to family and friends. He never forgot anyone's birthday or anniversary. Joe was also an avid New England Patriot and Boston Red Sox fan.

His funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston on Wednesday at 11 am. VISITING HOURS will be on Tuesday from 5-8pm. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Health Hospice Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
