JOSEPH D. D'ELIA

75, of Sophia St., Providence, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Coventry. He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Marguerite T. "Margo" (Choquette) D'Elia. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rosindo and Philomena (Porcelli) D'Elia.

Mr. D'Elia was a mechanic for Cardi Corporation for many years before retiring and served in the Army National Guard.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Cheryl A. Carr and her husband Robert of Warwick and Lori A. Ardente and her husband Armand of Coventry; loving grandfather of Brian White and Stephanie Carr; and dear brother of the late Vincent D'Elia.

Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.
