Joseph A. Butmarc, 93 of Cranston, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 3, 2022, with his family by his side. Born in Cranston he was the son of the late Joseph and Jesse (Barone) Abbatamarco. He was the beloved husband for over 60 years to Barbara (DiMartino) Butmarc.
Joe attended from the former Cranston High School, now known as Cranston East High School. After graduation he then went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then went on to become a truck driver, for Stanley Trucking. Family was instrumental in his life, even if you weren’t blood if Joe called you family you had a special place in his life. He was an avid New England sports fan; he loved the Patriots, but he lived and breathed his beloved Red Sox. If he wasn’t watching football or baseball game in the fall, he could be found driving on of the tractors at Confreda Farms for the hayrides during their annual fall festival.
Besides his wife he survived by his beloved daughter Valerie Myrick. A treasured grandson Sean Myrick that was the light of his life. He was also the loving brother of Virginia Vestri, Phyllis Butmarc, and Richard Butmarc. He was the devoted uncle of Shelia and Brian Vestri. His dear friends of over 50 years, Debbie Baldassarre; her children Alexandria and Frank Pettinato, Jr., and her husband John. Also, Linda Harnois, and her daughter Gabrielle Paola, and her husband Mike.
Visiting hours in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022, from 10:00 -11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Associations PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692,
