89, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Greenville Health Center, Smithfield. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (DiBoni) Barone. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph R. and Mary (Matracia) Barone. Mr. Barone was an office manager at the former US Naval Construction Battalion Base, Davisville. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Navy. Joseph was a member and Past Counselor of the UCT #67. He was a Braves fan since they were the Boston Braves, enjoyed watching football and golf. Joseph was an avid bingo player at Foxwood.
He is survived by his loving daughters; Cynthia A. Galipeau and her husband Ronald, Linda M. Barone, and Karen L. Barone, all of Cranston. Joseph was the cherished grandfather of Donald and Dean Venticinque, and great-grandfather of Kayla, Jared, and Dean Paul Venticinque. He was the brother of Kenneth Barone of East Providence, Gloria Fox of Coventry, and the late Lawrence, Augustino, and Anthony Barone, Lena Green, Rose Hood, and Marie Rheinhart.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
