JOSEPH R. ABBATEMATTEO

Joseph R. Abbatematteo 86, of Cranston and Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Friday February 8, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Berarducci) Abbatematteo. They were married for the past 63 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Nassi) Abbatematteo. Mr. Abbatematteo was a WW II Army veteran. Besides his wife Ann, he is survived by his loving children, Deborah McSparren and her husband Frank of FL, Kathleen Verri and her husband Robert of East Greenwich, Eileen Ferreira of Cranston, Gina Verrecchia and her husband Stephen of Cranston and Joseph Abbatematteo, Jr. and his wife Diane of FL. He was also the cherished grandfather of R. Jason and Nathan Belanger, Chris Ferreira, Michael and Matthew Verri, Alex and Andrew Verrecchia, Meagan, Vanessa and Lauren Abbatematteo, and was the brother of Louise Bowen, Albert Abbatematteo, Viola Rotella, Anna Santucci, and the late Anthony, Arthur and Gus Abbatematteo. His funeral and burial will be private, and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
