88, of Cranston, formerly of Hope, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Hilda (Silvestre) Casimiro. Born in Portugal, he was a son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Beatriz) Casimiro. Jose was a machine operator for the former Budlong Manufacturing Company of Cranston for twenty-two years before his retirement. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking his dogs.
He is survived by his loving children, Natalie Fonseca and her husband Jose of Cranston, and Joseph Casimiro and his wife Ann Marie of Hope. Jose was the cherished grandfather of Vera and Steven Fonseca. He is survived by four sisters and two brothers in Portugal. Jose was the brother of three deceased siblings.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, corner of Park and Elmwood Avenues, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
