JOHNNY M. SOTO, PPD
45, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at home. Born in New York, NY, he was a son of Fernando and Juanita (Cornelio) Soto of Providence. Officer Soto served with the Providence Police Department for twenty-two years. He was a member of the RI Hispanic Officers Association, FOP Lodge #3, Providence, and the Top Master Crew. He was a US Army veteran.
Besides his parents he is survived by his daughters, Giannie of Cranston and Cienna of East Providence. Johnny was the brother of Rosario "Rosie" Soto of Virginia. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Carmen L. Soto of Providence and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
