John B. Vicario, Sr., 88, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Hope Health Hospice in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. (L’Heureux) Vicario. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond and Michelina (Costantino) Vicario.
John was a cabinet maker and member of Carpenters Union 94. He worked for W.M. Bloom & Son for 30 years and later was the owner of Accent Store Design in Johnston from 1981 to 1992 until working for Blue Cross of RI in their Maintenance Division. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country proudly.
He enjoyed doing home projects, and mostly spending time with his loving family and his two dogs Chloe and Evie.
Besides his wife Joyce, John was the devoted father of John B. Vicario, Jr. and his wife Donna of Johnston, Laurent “Larry” D. Vicario and his wife Karen of Norton, MA and Deborah A. Rondeau and her partner Raymond of North Scituate: cherished and loving grandfather of John III, Stefanie, Daniel, Andrew and Christopher; and dear brother of the late Alfred, Louis “Gene”, Generoso “John” and Domenic Vicario.
VISITING HOURS to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Monday, December 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial with military honors at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
