84, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Marian (Zompa) Tirocchi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John Tirocchi Sr., and Concetta (DeSimone) Tirocchi. Mr. Tirocchi was an electronic technician for 33 years at Electric Boat Company, Groton, CT. John was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Era. John enjoyed his children and grandchildren especially during family gatherings and he was active in the Cranston youth baseball leagues. John enjoyed gardening and masonry work; he was also an avid NY Yankees fan.
John is survived by his loving children, Cheryl A. Palombo and her husband Anthony, John W. Tirocchi and Joseph A. Tirocchi and his wife Leslie all of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Amanda, Ilana, Dylan, Jared and Gianna. John was the brother of Delores Lioce of Johnston, Louise Chesney of Cranston, Gerald Tirocchi of East Providence and the late Marie DiMartin.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, January 17th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
