JOHN FORD SULLIVAN

74, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2012 at South County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, North Kingstown. Born in Mattapan, MA, he was a son of the late Michael and Mildred (Ford) Sullivan. John was a sales representative for Pittston Petroleum Company for thirty years before his retirement. He started his career working for Metropolitan Petroleum before it was acquired by Pittston. John enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox. In his younger years he was an Irish step-dancer. John was a true gentleman to all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving children, Maura A. Sullivan, Monroe, North Carolina, and Brendan Jay Sullivan, Lawrenceville, GA. He was the cherished grandfather of Danielle Tella, and Michael Sullivan. He was the brother of Maureen Tower of Scituate, MA, and the late Ronald Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street West Warwick. Burial will be private.
