JOHN SPIRITO, SR

97, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Santopietro) Spirito. John was born in Providence, the son of the late Frank and Anna Marie (Simonelli) Spirito. Mr. Spirito was a masonry contractor for Frank Spirito & Sons. He is survived by his loving children, Janice Mastronardi and husband Anthony of East Greenwich, Frank J. Spirito of South Kingstown, Elaine Coletti of Johnston and John Spirito, Jr. and his wife Patricia of West Warwick. He was also the cherished grandfather of 14, great grandfather of 14 and was the brother of Louis Spirito,Marie Spirito ,Mafalda Del Nero and Carmela Izzo all of Providence. John was also the loving father of the late Ann Marie Pontarelli, and brother of the late Elizabeth Moretti, Domenic Spirito, Vincent Spirito and Frank R. Spirito. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 am in the Church of St. Mark, Garden City, Cranston. Burial will be private and kindly omit flowers. Visiting hours will be held on Friday 4-8 pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. , Cranston.
