81, of Cranston, son of the late Angelo and Mary (Ianotti) Scungio . Survived by daughter, Lisa Breedon, of Coventry and his two grandsons Adam and Zachary. He is also survived by sisters, Elizabeth Dean, Dorothy Pinheiro and brother Anthony Scungio. Also survived by his nephew, David Porr and nieces Deborah Porr and Carol Fox-Torres. John was a Veteran of the Korean War and a graduate from Bryant College with honors in 1961. He enjoyed skiing in his favorite place, Mt. Snow, Vermont, reading and answering every question correct on Jeopardy! Fondly known as "Uncle", he will always be in our hearts as we knew him best smiling over his newspaper with a cup of coffee.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS; Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
