John "Jay" Pilozzi III

50, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Nicole (Ruggieri) Pilozzi for 22 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of Arlene (Verdecchia) Pilozzi, and the late John Pilozzi Jr. Jay was employed by Stop & Shop for 32 years, many of those years as a produce manager. Jay enjoyed being with his friends, for Sunday-Fundays, and taking weekend getaways to New Hampshire.

Besides his wife Nicole, he is survived by his loving children, Bryana Kramer and her husband Wyatt of Virginia, Michael Pilozzi and Samantha Pilozzi both of Cranston. He was the brother of Julie Pilozzi and her husband Rene Giroux of Providence. Jay was excited to learn he was going to be a grandfather.  Loving brother-in-law to Michelle Ruggieri and her husband Marco, Melissa Young and her husband John. Son-in-law of Carol Ruggieri and the late Michael Ruggieri. Uncle to Alena, Christy, Ryan, Zachary, and Jacob. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Visiting hours will take place Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation, firehero.org.
