John F. Page, Jr.

formerly of Massachusetts Ave., Providence, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation in West Warwick.  He was the beloved husband for 60 years to the late Helen (Bedrosian) Page.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John F. and Lillian L. (Burns) Page.

John was a salesman for Drake Bakeries for 44 years before retiring and was a WW-II and Korean War U.S. Navy veteran.  An avid square dancer, John was a member of the Friendly Mixers Square Dancing Club, and in 2001 he and his wife Helen were inducted into the “Square Dancer Hall of Fame” and in 1988 they were both awarded the prestigious “Yankee Clipper Award.”

John was the devoted father of Judy McDermott and her husband Stephen and John R. Page; cherished grandfather of Kathy Ragno and Scott McDermott and his wife Cindy; loving great-grandfather of Jeanine, Kate, Leah, Ryan and the late Alexis; and dear brother of the late Mildred Fellows.

His funeral will be private.
