88, of Boynton Beach, FL, and South Kingstown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the home of his son in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Gloria (Caliri) Pagano. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Angelo and Catherine (Golderese) Pagano. John was employed by the former New England Telephone Company for many years before his retirement. He was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He was a former member of the New England Telephone Pioneers.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Catherine Cordy and her husband Gerald of South Kingstown, Angelo Pagano and his wife Sheila of Cranston, Patricia Paola and her husband Frank of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of six. He was the brother of the late Vincent Pagano and Rose Caliri.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston VISITING HOURS Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
