John L. Longo, Sr.

September 20, 1933 — February 11, 2024

John L. Longo, Sr.

90, of Bradenton, FL formerly of Johnston passed away on February 11, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Pauline C. (Fortin) Pemberton – Longo; and the late Rosemarie (Feraro) Longo.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Victoria (Scungio) Longo.

A US Army Veteran, he served during the Korean War.

He was a watch band designer for Speidel before retiring.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #1 and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Anna Maria Island.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, John L. Longo, Jr. and his wife Donna and Donna Longo – Kumes and her husband Todd; a sister, Roslyn Gormley; and his grandson, his pride and joy Tyler Kumes.  He was the brother of the late Frank Longo, Ann Olivo and Margaret Longo.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 9-10am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation New England Chapter, Attn: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 .
