JOHN W. KNOWLES
of Wood Lane, Wakefield, died on Thursday peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of Dr. Carla (Cesario) Knowles. Born in Providence the son of Franklin "Leo "and Phyllis (Palumbo) Knowles of Cranston, he is also survived by his daughters, Ashley and Erica Knowles. He was the brother of Elaine Knowles-Weygand of No. Kingstown and uncle of Alecia and Michael Keegan. He leaves many cherished friends and colleagues. John was in sales and is presently employed by Lightower Fiber Networks of MA. Throughout his life, John also worked with handicapped men at the Ladd School, coached gymnastics for over twenty years, including the URI gymnastics team, and was an avid runner and surfer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8pm at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd., ( RT 1 A ), Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics Rhode Island.
