John W. Kelly, Sr. 69, of Oakland Ave. Cranston, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2009 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In-Patient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Frances Mae (Larson) Kelly. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John J. Kelly and Lillian (Julius) Kelly. Mr. Kelly worked for Ann& Hope in Warwick for 10 years, and was also employed by the City of Cranston until his retirement in 2007. He was a US Marine Corps Korean War veteran, "Semper Fi Brothers". John will miss watching his Red Soxs and Patriots Games, with his faithful dog Rocky. Besides his wife Frances, he is survived by his loving children, Shawn P. Kelly, Robin L. Kelly Kirwin, Brenda L. MacIntosh, Michelle L. Bast, and John W. Kelly, Jr. all of RI. He was also the cherished grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 8, and was the brother of Darlene Coutes of VT, Margaret Kennedy of Riverside. He also is survived by numerous Brother and Sister In-laws, as well as many nieces and nephews. John was also the loving father of the late Joseph W. Kelly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Home Service on Tuesday at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. His burial will be private. Visiting hours: Monday 4-8 pm.
