92, of East Greenwich, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Pazienza) Gumula. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Barbara (Raczkowska) Gumula, Sr. John was an aviation mechanic at the former US Naval Air Station Quonset Point for many years until his retirement, and was a WW-II US Army veteran. He was a dear brother of Julia Zapasnick, and the late Stanley, Charles, Frank, and Joseph Gumula; cherished uncle of 15 nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME &Crematory 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
