John P. Gabriele

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Eileen Gabriele (Disano) and son of the late Francesco and Rose Gabriele (Paesano).

Born in Pawtucket, Mr. Gabriele was a graduate of North Providence High School.   He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and worked for the Providence School Department for many years.  He enjoyed coaching the North Providence Jets football team and was an avid golfer.

John is survived by his two loving daughters Jo-Ann Gabriele and Donna Gabriele (Penny McCullough), his granddaughter Amanda Marcaccio (Andrew), his two great-granddaughters Hallie and Hannah, and many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Fidanzo “Morton”, Alfred, Albert, James, and Frank (his twin) Gabriele, and Victoria “Ann” Goodman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr. Ave., Cranston.  Limited seating. Social distancing and masks are required.  Burial, with military honors, will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Rhode Island Veterans Home or Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.
