John E. Delpha III

82, of Johnston, RI passes away on October 11, 2018 at the Elmhurst Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Providence, RI.  He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores R. (Johnson) Delpha for over 55 years.  Born in Rutland, VT, he was the eldest son of the late John and Mabelle (Munger) Delpha.  John was a U.S. Navy veteran and longtime member of the Carpenters Union Local 94.  John was a skilled craftsman, mechanic, gunsmith, hunter and gardener.  He enjoyed spending as much time as he could in Vermont with his family especially enjoying hunting, the outdoors and the Great Green Mountains.  John looked forward to spending holidays around the table with his wife, children, their spouses and his dear and closest friend Steve Clift.  The family would like to thank Steve for all the support and friendship he gave John over the years.

John is survived by his two children and their spouses John and Caitlin Delpha of Tyngsboro, MA and Francine and Martin Martino of Johnston, RI.  Services for John, per his request, will remain private for the family and determined at a later date.
