John Rebelo da Fonseca

86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.  He was the beloved husband of Palmira (Nunes) da Fonseca.  Born in Celorico da Beira, Prados, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joaquim Rebelo and Maria da Fonseca.

He was the loving father of Rose St. John and her husband Harold of Foster, Jack da Fonseca and his wife Judy of Warwick, Isabel Neves and her husband Victor of Scituate, and Carlos Fonseca and his wife Denise of Cranston; cherished grandfather of Nichole Coletta, Anthony da Fonseca, Joey St. John, Christian da Fonseca, Michael Fonseca, Alexis da Fonseca, Kailee Neves, Jacob Fonseca, Stephanie Neves, Harold St. John, Michael St. John, and great grandfather of Walter Coletta; brother of Antonio Rebelo of Cranston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Church, Cranston.  Inurnment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
