John R. "Jack" Craven

John R. "Jack" Craven

85, of Lincoln passed away on Monday December 28, 2020 with his beloved wife of 55 years Norma (DeFalco) Craven by his side.

Born in NY, he was the son of the late John D. and Grace I. (Sullivan) Craven.

Jack was employed as a Senior Claims Adjuster for Nationwide Insurance for many years until his retirement.  Previously he was employed for many years by the Attorney General’s Office as a Chief Bureau Criminal Identification Officer.

He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean war serving as a Master Chief Hospital Corpsman, and on the Underwater Demolition Team.

He received his Bachelor Degree from Bryant College and attended the University of Notre Dame.

He also was a long-time, dedicated member of the Alpine Country Club where he spent countless hours helping to organize tournaments and spending time with his friends.

Jack was the brother of Carolyn Dauray of Warwick and the late Maureen McNamara and Virginia Craven.  He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral services and burial with Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence will be private.
