John Conti

93, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna T. (Panarello) Conti for over 69 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Grazia Conti.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Linda Stanelun and her husband Michael, Patti Brouillard, Maria Cardona and her husband Attilio Sr.; cherished grandchildren Michaela, Matthew, Attilio Jr., Elizabeth, and great grandchildren Henri Michael, Victoria and Olivia. He was also the brother of the late Domenic and Joseph Conti.

John served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1948-1954 as a Quartermaster Seaman 1st Class. He was also a wonderful provider for his family, wearing multiple hats as a security guard at Fatima Hospital and shuttle van driver at T.F.Green. He was most proud of his career work as a Laborer for the Steel Workers Union at BIF Industries for many years.

John enjoyed people and making them laugh. Until this day, he has maintained lifelong friendships with those most special and dear to him. He enjoyed bowling, listening to music, comedy, and fishing trips on the Capt. John Boats in Plymouth, often taking along his children, family and friends. Most of all, he had a kind heart and spirit.

While he liked to travel to places like Hampton Beach, Cape Cod and Florida and exploring restaurants along the way, he also savored homemade meals and all holidays shared with his family and guests. He will be missed by all and remembered for his strength and courage in his last hours.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday, November 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
