a dedicated and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on October 22 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 2, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island, where he spent his formative years before embarking on a fulfilling career.
John dedicated 53 years of his life to Stop & Shop where he worked as a grocery specialist. His commitment to his profession and the many customers he served exemplified his strong work ethic and dedication. He retired with a wealth of memories and experiences that he cherished dearly.
In his personal life, John was a passionate New York Yankees fan, often cheering for his team with enthusiasm. His love for baseball mirrored his love for family, which he treasured above all else.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Claudia A. DelNigro; his daughters, Kimberley DiCarlo (husband Joseph), Jana Costa (husband John), Jennifer Johnson (husband Ray), and Julie Colardo (companion Paul Knight); as well as his step-daughter, Jennifer Beausoleil (husband Lee). John also leaves behind his loving sister, Janice Marino (husband Robert), alongside his cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Alyssa, Taylor, Zachary, and Jonny, and step-grandchildren, Kassieonna, Lee, Jr., Karinna, and Kamella.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marie (Pella) Colardo, who instilled in him values of hard work and family loyalty.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church,1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
