JOHN L. CIMAGLIO

88, of Greenville, Fort Meyers, FL and formerly of Rangeley, ME, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the loving husband of Mary (Boyd) Cimaglio of 64 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Etta (Pascale) Cimaglio. John graduated Classical High School and then Bryant College in 1948 earning a degree in Accounting. He served in the Army Air Forces as a Glider Pilot, Flight Instructor, 2nd Lieutenant and was awarded "Meritorious Service" during WWII. John was a Civil Service employee for the State of RI working as a Revenue agent then Chief Revenue Agent and retired in 1983 as Chief of Corporations, Division of Taxation and also owned a Private Accounting Practice. He is a current member and past officer of the R.I. Association of Public Accountants and a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of Greenville Housing Authority. After participating in boating, golf and snowmobiling, he became an avid "arm chair" sports fan. He is survived by his two daughters; Donna Cacicia and her husband Joseph of Johnston and Deborah Cimaglio of Fort Meyers, FL. John was the step-grandfather of four and step-great grandfather of five. He was also the brother of the late Louise Pastille. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 9:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston St., Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904.
