JOHN A. BUCCI

92, of North Providence, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Viola (DiScuillo) Bucci. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Arthur and Angelina (Pisaturo) Bucci. John worked for the Federal Government at Davisville for many years and also was a Inspector for the Division of Motor Vehicles. He was a U.S. WW-II Navy veteran and was a lifetime member and one of the founders of the Lymansville VFW Post # 10011 and a former State Commander for the VFW, and former member of the North Providence Democratic Town Committee. Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Patricia D'Andrea and her husband Ronald of North Providence; loving grandfather of Robert DeAngelis and his wife Kimberly; loving great-grandfather of Rachel DeAngelis. He was the brother of Marie Matarazzo, Anna Costa, Connie DaSilva, Mella Hebert, Laurie Norberg, Ginger Viola, Toni Horning and the late Frances DeCristofaro, Augustino Bucci and Arthur Bucci, Jr. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd. Johnston at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
