John A. Barrett 68, of Wayland Avenue, Cranston, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. Born in Worcester, MA, he was a son of the late John J. and Mary Teresa (McKinnon) Lennon. John was a self-employed carpenter for many years until his retirement. Mr. Barrett was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War era. He is survived by his son Brent J. Barrett of Cranston. John was the grandfather of Shaina Barrett. He was the brother of Patricia C. Lombardi and her husband Timothy of Cranston, Katherine A. Lennon of Warwick, Joseph J. Lennon of Cranston and Thomas Barrett of Worcester, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, MA.
