JOHN ASDOORIAN

81, of Lynn, MA, formerly of East Providence, RI, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (DerArsenian) Asdoorian. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Almas (Garabedian) Asdoorian.

Mr. Asdoorian received his BSME from URI in 1958. He was a mechanical engineer for General Electric at the Riverworks Plant in Lynn, MA for over 30 years and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He enjoyed golfing, wood carving and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

He was the devoted father of Mark Asdoorian of Lynn, MA and dear brother of Anna Asdoorian of East Providence, Claire Inglis of Silver Spring, MD and the late Elizabeth Janigian.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence at 11 a.m. Interment will be at North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
