Joanne (Morro) DelSesto

71, of Smithfield, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Stephen DelSesto for over 48 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (Abbaticola) Morro. Mrs. DelSesto was a teacher’s aide in the Johnston School Department for many years before retiring. Joanne loved spending time with her family, she was known for her kindness, compassion, and her smile. All who knew her loved her.

Besides her husband Stephen, she is survived by her loving daughter Laura Horton and her husband Randy of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of Savannah Horton, and sister of Charles Morro of Smithfield.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 15th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
