JOAN I. (CONKLIN) WOODARD

70, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Woodard, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Emma (Bagshaw) Conklin. Joan worked at The St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich, formerly in Providence, for 15 years until her retirement. She is survived by six children; Robert W. Woodard, Jr. and his wife Karen of VA, Harold L. Woodard and his wife Manuela of Germany, Stuart E. Woodard of Cranston, Leslie A. Bahia and her husband Joseph of North Providence, Noelle L. Dion and her fiancAC. Stephen Cote of Cranston and Kristen M. Woodard of Cranston. Joan was the sister of the late Stuart Conklin and Barbara Masciarelli. She was also the aunt of two nephews and one late niece. Joan was cherished by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Committal Service in R.I. Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter.
