65, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of forty-two years to George A. Turini, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Mildred (DeFeo) Niederberger. Joan was a member and past president of the Moses Brown School Parents Association, and past co-chair of the Brown University Medical School Parents Association.
Besides her husband she is survived by her loving son George A. Turini III, MD of West Warwick. Joan was the cherished sister of Janet A. Hencler and her husband Andrew of Warwick.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
